sian Cross-Cultural Training Institute was started in 1985 by the Overseas Missionary Fellowship, in response to churches in Asia who were asking for a training program for young people preparing for cross-cultural missionary service. It aimed to emphasize practical training in community, focusing on biblical and missiological insights and sought to develop creative Asian perspectives on mission.
ACTI has trained more than 250 cross-cultural missionaries and workers. They are now serving mainly in Asian countries, with a few in Africa. These graduates came from S Korea (34%), Hong Kong (15%), Taiwan (8%), Singapore (13%), other Asian countries (25%) and Western countries (5%).
