he Asian Cross-Cultural Training Institute (ACTI) was one of the pioneer missionary training programs in Asia, and has trained more than 200 missionaries from 17 different countries. Our graduates are service in more than 16 Asian countries and 6 countries in Africa and Latin America.
ACTI offers a post-seminary and pre-field course for missionaries and tentmakers. Based in Singapore, the training centre seeks to assist Asian and Western churches and mission agencies to prepare their candidates for cross-cultural ministry, particularly for service in Asia.
At ACTI, prospective cross-cultural Christian workers from across the world meet the real challenges of cross-cultural living in cosmopolitan Singapore, learning first-hand the intricacies of interpersonal relationships, stress management, raising and keeping a missionary family together, and above all, practicing true discipleship. Formal lectures in mission theology, anthropology and linguistics, as well as comparative studies in world religions and major cultures, provide the background for a better understanding of the wider world. The city-state of Singapore, with its distinctive cultural mix exemplified in the neighborhood where ACTI is located, offers ample opportunities for a taste of urban and suburban evangelism.
